Getting Started

Thank you for buying a Grumpy Board

This guide will explain to you how to setup, and wire your Grumpyboard from start to finish.

Each board purchased comes with the following:

  • 1x GrumpyBoard
  • 1x Waveshare Solar Board
  • 2x JST-PH Power Leads
  • 1x Wi-Fi antenna
  • 1x Quality Control Card
  • 1x Getting Started Guide (Brought you here)

To get started with your board, you'll need the following:

  • A computer running Linux, Windows, or Mac OS.
  • A USB C cable that can handle data and power.
  • A SMA or IPEX antenna that's in the 915 MHz range.

How to flash your board.

First: Take your GrumpyBoard out of it's bag, and connect the included ipex wifi antenna to the esp32 located where the USB-C port is on the board.

Second: Connect your antenna either via the SMA on the top of the board or the IPEX connector located below the SMA connector.

Third: Plug your USB-C cable into the GrumpyBoard, and plug it into your computer.
